Uvira Tombé. Uvira is fallen in the hands of true liberators -AFC/M33.

Gone are the days of suffering, mistreatment, and taken hostages without all basic needs for the Banyamulenge people in Minembwe.

AFC/M23-Twirwaneho revolutionary forces have continued to advance in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, seizing key towns such as Kamanyola, Katogota, Luvungi, Bwegera, Luberizi, Nyakabere, Sange, Kabunambo, and finally the city of Uvira. Although most supporters of the Tshisekedi are so chocked to see Uvira fall into the hands of AFC/M23 this week, those of us know the strength of AFC/M23 and the weakness of the Congolese army and its allies like Burundian army, MaiMai militia and FDLR genocidaire rebels, it was expected that Uvira will fall before the end of this week nonetheless. AFC/M23 was slowing down in order to allow the cowards forces of Burundi and Congo leave the area safely in order to minimize casualties and protect the civilian population.

At the same time Twirwaneho forces have pushed other elements of FNDB and FARDD/MAIMAI/FDLR deeper into forests and mountain of high plateau of the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), after shotting down the military helicopter of the Tshisekedi backed Belgium mercenaries. When asked why they have continued fighting despite the ceasefire agreement reached in Dowa, one of the AFC/M23 publicly said, " the Kinshasa regime had made it its habit of violating the ceasefire and bombarding our populations, until we could no longer take it". After all, he continued, " remember that we are Congolese who are fighting for a cause," he  Journal Minembwe. Asked about the Washington accord, he stated "What happened in Washington,  doesn't concern us."  He categorically stated that the Washington Agreement is between Congo and Rwanda, definitely not AFC/M23-Twirwaneho. We are fighting with our government because it has resolved to kill us, it's citizens and our cause is the right to live and to have peace and security. He do not have any other choice but to fight or be exterminated. And we chose to fight and toppled down this tyrant regime of Tshisekedi, added the official of AFC/M23-Twirwaneho.

It has been almost one year since Tshiseket's rule ended in major part of two Easten Congolese provinces' of North and Southern Kivu, after the capture of Goma and Bukavu. All the civil and military officers of the Tshisekedi and Ndayishimiye's regimes vanished, almost overnight, into thin air. Then, thousands of European mercenaries and Tanzanian and South African soldiers followed the suit with indescribable shame of being publicly defeated and humiliated by the disciplined and determined soldiers of AFC/M23.

However, there were still another strong hold of the negative coalition of Burundian defense forces, Congolese defense forces, FDLR genocidaire militia, and Mai Mai/wazalendo militias in Southern Kivu covering a large territory made of various towns including, Katogota, Luvungi, Ruberizi, Sange and Uvira. This is a coalition of vicious genocidal forces whose sole purpose is to exterminate Congolese Tutsis from South and North Kivu. Now that Uvira and other key towns are in the hands of AFC/M23, one can optimistically say that they will definitely not be able to accomplish their evil goal of exterminating the Banyamulenge people in the Mulenge region.

Although the international community purposed not to help rescue the Banyamulenge and Tutsi population from Eastern Congo in general from the predatory extremist regimes of Kinshasa and Burundi who had vowed to exterminate the Tutsis in Eastern Congo,  with the brave advancement of AFC/M23 and Twirwaneho the coalition of genocidal force does no longer loom as a great threat for the Congolese Tutsi population, particularly the Banyamulenge, as AFC/M23 has finally captured the strategic town of Uvira and managed to kick out the Burundian false back to their country.

Eastern Congo is finally about to breath the air of peace and security once again after 8 years of chaos and carnage for the Congolese Tutsi in the Eastern Congo. Hope is finally dawning even if last month Uvira territory was still marked by tumultuous lows as well as unprecedented high criminality as the Banyamulenge people struggles to survive.

Meanwhile, the high plateau of Minembwe. people are still confined in what is viewed as an open concentration camp. But this is going to change starting tomorrow. They will no longer be cut off from the outside world as it was the case for the last 8 years, with no access to basic needs such as soap, salt, sugar, cooking oil and medication—another form of genocide. Soon, gone will be those evil and dark days. The rays of hope are about to reach Mulenge, all thanks to our God, and Twirwaneho & AFC/M23 brave sons of Eastern Congo.

Long live AFC/M23-Twirwane
